Update as of July 6th, 2020
We made it another week, and the new normal is beginning to feel almost that, normal. Not comfortable, not what any of us want, but the world we live in has changed drastically over the last 4 months, and we humans are very resilient creatures. We will find a way. I pray daily, as I am sure you do as well, that this virus will be behind us soon, and we can become human beings again in person.
It was good to see some of your faces over the weekend. That human interaction is something that we just can't reproduce online. We are learning to pull as much as we can from our screens and speakers as we worship, have groups, connect with friends, and do life outside of our homes virtually. As we said this weekend, do not give up on what we have. Reach out as much as possible. Do a good deed for someone. Continue to be salt and light to our world that they may see our Father in Heaven is still working. Persevere!
Thank you all for hanging in there with our church. Thank you for continuing to pray diligently. Thank you for staying connected to as many people as possible. Thank you for continuing to give generously. I would have never thought that we could survive financially for 4 months if we shut down our public gatherings, but we have. Because of your giving, we continue to be that light around the world, and in our community. We still are giving out food and supplies, we continue to council people weekly, we continue to be the hope that our community desperately needs at this time. Please continue to give as you feel led. Our friends in Africa are still struggling greatly. Our friends in Mexico have just begun to fight their way back, but still have a very long way to go. You have been amazing church, so proud to be your pastor. Let's keep it up as long as we can.
Thank you for being the Church, we are God's plan A for our world.
